Tammy : Hi Ray! Today’s topic is about B2B or Business to Business, we are also going to talk about digital Business to Business and hopefully, they’ll get ideas and learn something from here. what we’re going to talk about is based on what we researched. Ray and I will be discussing (3) topics about the Business to Business.
Ray: Okay, Let’s start, what are the 3 topics that we are going to share with them?
Tammy : Thanks Ray, the first topic is (1) What is B2B? For some who don’t have an idea, we will be discussing especially those who want to start an eCommerce business. Second topic is (2) What is digital B2B? This is something to do with the digital revolution, where companies and suppliers work on the digital platform, or lets say ecommerce business. And the third one is (3) How does B2B work in digital platforms?
Ray : Great! Let’s start with the first topic, What is B2B?
Tammy : Well, B2B or also known as Business to Business, where companies that create products and services geared toward other businesses. This can include overall business supply companies.
B2B companies are supportive enterprises that offer the things other businesses need to operate and grow. B2B companies have an entirely different target audience: They offer the raw materials, finished parts, services or consultations that other businesses need to operate, grow and profit.
Ray : So this is like Unipro Consulting Limited that offers consultation services to other businesses to operate. Like we also help them register their business, as well as do their accounting.
Tammy : That’s correct, If you own a small business, you likely will have to work with a B2B company at some point in your journey. It’s important to understand what B2B is, why it matters to your business and how you can leverage it to better your own business.
Ray : So technically, B2B simply means business-to-business, which is a business model that focuses on selling products and services to other companies. Think of it as a supportive company that through their products and services helps companies succeed or boost their internal efforts.
Tammy : Yes, Aside from that if a B2B company is going to be successful, they must develop strong customer service and loyalty and create meaningful change in their customer’s business that significantly improves their performance. Maybe we can talk about B2B marketing strategies in our podcast?
Ray : That’s a good idea, so that listeners you are planning to set up a business might also have an idea, as you know, people are spending so much time on the internet. We have said it so many times that the digital platform is growing rapidly, let’s all take advantage of it.

Ray : Okay, so let’s move on the second topic which is the Digital Business to Business.
Tammy : Yes, Digital Business to Business, B2B e-commerce is between businesses and suppliers. these companies sell products directly to other companies using e-commerce platforms, while also sharing data and updates for products or services. There are many types of B2B e-commerce companies, but three of the most common are web development, supply and procurement exchanges, and infomediaries.
Ray : As far as I know, Digital Business to Business are also the ones who are transforming their businesses with digital technologies.
Tammy : Yes, some are transforming their business with digital technologies, as it is easier to do business online.
Ray : Well, Today, people are spending more money online, which has Business shifted to digital sources. The growth of the digital economy has made people more familiar with digital products and services, which has driven companies to seek new competitive advantages in the digital space.
Tammy : I just want to share something like business who shifted to digital, like here in the Philippines, not all establishments are opened yet due to the pandemic, workout gyms are affected too. So they shift to digital platforms, like you can subscribe to their channel if you like to do your workout, you know, if everything is digital now, nothing can stop you or your business.
Ray : That’s cool, and I agree with you that if you try to open an online business, there will be more advantages you can have.
Tammy : right? That’s cool, there are a lot of digital businesses that a traditional business cannot offer, they use digital technology to drive growth, revenue and performance in ways that were impossible with traditional models.
Ray : Let me give an example of digital business, like Netflix is a good example of a company that switched from traditional business to digital business. Originally, Netflix used mail people DVDs, now it gave customers the option to stream video, it disrupted itself and transformed the way that people view film and television media. People can now watch movies and TV shows anytime at any place of the day.
Tammy : So that is actually the third topic, B2B work in digital platforms or let’s say the digital business. Do they need to integrate digital platforms in their business?
Ray : Yes, although it is not easy, it takes a lot of time, research and studies to do so.
Tammy : and a great planning as well!
